LUC SAFI Research centre (LUC SAFI)

A joint venture of SAFI in association with SAFI Institute of Advanced study, Vazhayoor East PO, Kerala, India and the Lincoln University College (LUC) Malaysia, is inviting applications for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program. A unique opportunity for Academicians, Professionals and Corporate Employees to acquire an international PhD qualification recognized by the AIU .

Program : DOCTOR of PHILOSOPHY (PhD): (Single disciplinary or Interdisciplinary research is permitted)

Duration : 3 Years

Eligibility : Master Degree in same or related field

Lincoln University College (LUC) is one of the top institutions of higher learning in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (www.lincoln.edu.my). LUC is recognized by the National Accreditation Board, Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), and Ministry of Higher Education. Research, teaching, and learning are the three main focuses of LUC, which also supports the realization of novel knowledge. LUC forms a global hub for the intellectual interactions of internationally renowned professors and students and evidently LUC is currently present in 36 different nations. (Serial No. 735 on page 98 of the AIU Handbook), member of the “International Association of Universities (IAU)”, member of the “Association of Commonwealth Universities”, has been registered under the Medical Council of India (MCI) for MBBS/ equivalent course.
SAFI have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with LUC on 2nd December 2022 for providing academic support of each other's interests in teaching and research. Now SAFI forms a prestigious platform to offer research programmes leading to the award of a PhD degree by the Lincoln University College, Malaysia starting in January 2023.

Admission

Admission will be based on the qualifying examination and the performance of the candidate in the entrance test conducted by the university 3 times – in January, May and September every year.

Duration

3 years from the date of registration (No extension will be allowed as LUC follows “On Time Completion (OTC)”

Guidelines

Research work can be carried out under the supervision of a guide provided by SAFI or an approved guide allotted by the LUC.

All research scholars should go to the University in Malaysia at least twice during the study (a) for Registration and (b) for Open Defense.

Coursework can be done either at the Partner Institution (SAFI) or in the LUC as per the syllabus approved by the University.

End of every semester there will be a review in front of panel of experts

Publications: minimum 2 in Scopus index journals and 2 in non-Scopus journals during study

International seminars with Paper Presentation: minimum 2 during study either in India or abroad

Thesis Evaluation and Open Defense: will be conducted by the LUC by a committee appointed for each researcher.

PhD degree will be awarded to the successful scholars by the LUC
